Welcome to this week’s episode of The Mindset Mentor Meets Podcast which hears Angela interviewing Paul O'Sullivan, Managing Director at Accenture.
About our guest
Paul is a Managing Director at Accenture with over 10 years' experience of large scale enterprise transformation and innovation. Paul joined Accenture in October 2017 after a long career in the financial services sector where he delivered the first mobile banking platform in the UK. Since then, Paul's passion for technology and agile has led him to deliver a number of innovation solutions. Result orientated, Paul maximises the use of modern and emerging technology to help clients innovate and solve real problems.
About this show
Paul is refreshingly honest and we discuss imposter syndrome, vulnerability and overcoming fear. He looks upon the tasks he undertakes as experiments and likes to break things down into small steps, measuring the value of each thing he achieves. If he makes mistakes, he takes the learning and adapts how he moves forward.
He ultimately believes that he deserves to be where he is and in moments of doubt, he reminds himself of the things he has achieved to bring him to the current situation. He anchors himself back to times when he has thrived.
We explore how he keeps his self-belief high, how he takes care of his mindset and what he does when things don't go his way.
An uplifting and inspiring half hour.

In this special episode, Angela holds a coaching session with a new client called Rachel around the subject of the inner critic.
About this show
Rachel has just taken a promotion at work which has seen her move into a completely different discipline. Angela has worked with Rachel previously and the focus of their work together was around resolving trauma. She has made incredible progress in this area and this has been reflected in lots of areas of her life. The recent change of role has created a blip which often happens when something significant changes in our lives. Hear Angela and Rachel discuss this and it will no doubt resonate with many people who find themselves overworking, feeling out of their depth in a new role and allowing the inner critic to take hold.
This is the third episode in the coaching room series and you can listen to the others by searching for episode 21 & 23.
A compelling and motivating session.

Welcome to this week’s episode of The Mindset Mentor Meets Podcast which hears Angela interviewing Georgina Turton, Head of Continuous Improvement and Process Automation at Burberry.
About our guest
Georgina has a proven track record leading transformation and change both in leadership positions within organisations and in consulting roles. She has a passion from making the complex simple and bringing people along with her, doing with, rather than to. Recognised as one of the top 500 females when she worked for GE Capita, she stands out for her professionalism and passion.
About this show
Georgina offers an honest perspective of how challenging it can be to show vulnerability in a consulting role. Her willingness to admit how she has struggled with it is vulnerable in itself.
She shares with us her proudest moments which include how she bravely moved to Vietnam in order to study and how she only recently realised what a brave step that was.
She talks about the importance of trying to make herself redundant in the role of continuous improvement by building the capability of the people.
Communication in Georgina's view is key. She believes it's easy to be lazy with communications and trust that the message is landing, when the reality is it might not be.
She overcomes self doubt by playing to her strengths and whilst she recognises development areas are important too, she doesn't place too much emphasis on these, instead choosing to surround herself with people who bridge the gaps, allowing her to focus on what she is good at.
An uplifting and inspiring half hour.

In this special episode, Angela holds a coaching session with a new client called Lisa around the inner critic.
About this show
Lisa runs several successful businesses and is a theatre director. Despite her absolute success, she is often crippled with fear and can talk herself out of moving forward, thanks to the things she hears from her inner critic.
Lisa has had her fair share of trauma, very sadly including sexual abuse in her childhood (note, this is eluded to during the session but we do not explore this due to the session being recorded). Lisa was part of an abusive, narcissistic relationship which created so many dreadful experiences. Despite this, she is hugely positive, has raised three amazing children and has had a fabulous career. Lisa has engaged in therapy and coaching before and yet we were able to get to new insights and levels of understanding in our first session together.
Post session, Lisa said she can finally begin to understand where her lack of confidence and insecurity comes from.
A compelling and emotional session.

Monday Jun 15, 2020
Monday Jun 15, 2020
Welcome to this week’s episode of The Mindset Mentor Meets Podcast which hears Angela interviewing John Verge, CEO at Golden Lane Housing.
About our guest
John is CEO of Golden Lane Housing, and has worked for the UK learning disability housing association set up by Mencap for 20 years. During his time at Golden Lane Housing, the organisation has lead on innovative solutions for thousands of people with a learning disability and autism across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and won a variety of national awards for their social impact bonds and specialist services. He has a Masters in Housing Studies, MBA from Warwick Business School and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and Royal Society of Arts.
About this show
John shares so much wisdom in this episode from a pragmatic and balanced perspective.
John explains that through his experiences he has recognised that when things aren't going so well at work, in a project or situation, it often comes down to people either not being engaged, not having confidence, or not being fully bought in. This causes him to reflect back on his own actions and learn lessons to allow him to communicate more effectively moving forward.
He is a true believer in reflection before action and rather than jump to conclusions, would prefer to think first and assess a situation so he can make a balanced decision.
His allotment provides lots of mindfulness activity for John and is the key to him feeling relaxed and stress free.
An uplifting and inspiring half hour.
